I’m wrapping up my first round of 100 Days of Code, making plans for my next round, and catching up on some long-overdue tasks.
I finally finished and submitted the Drum Machine project with all tests passing! Now there are just two projects left and five days to complete them.
I have finished the Markdown Previewer application! This puts me ahead of schedule. Plus, as a bonus, I’m getting more and more comfortable with React.js.
The Random Quote Generator v1.0 is now complete! I plan to make a few improvements later, but for now it has passed all of the tests and is good to go.
I started on the first front-end libraries project. It’s a simple quote generator that allows you to press a “new quote” button to display a new quote.
Now that I’m not so burnt out, I have pinpointed the source of all this React and Redux overwhelm as stemming from all the tutorial hopping I’ve been doing.
I’m still struggling with learning Redux, but I’m so determined. As with learning anything complex, the key is to aim for one small piece at a time.
I hit a bit of a snag in learning Redux with the Free Code Camp challenges. So now I am taking a step back to begin a Redux course at Lynda.com and will supplement that with additional reading.
