Blogmas: Naughty or Nice 2017

Home / Blogmas: Naughty or Nice 2017

The Blogmas: Naughty or Nice challenge is a flexible month-long link party, starting from December 1, 2017 at 3 PM EST and ending on January 1, 2018 at 12 PM EST.

Getting Started

Joining is easy. Just head over to the link up post and add your blog title and URL. This will allow me to keep a list of everyone who participates throughout the month so we can all go check out your blog. You don’t have to have a self-hosted blog to participate — WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, or any other free blogs are perfectly acceptable.

Once you have joined, you can start adding your post links here.

If you participated in NaBloPoMo with me this year, you have probably seen most of these rules, but there are a few differences this time around.

  1. Posts should be kept to around a PG-13 rating. Moderate profanity is fine, but please refrain from sharing your post if you have included a pic of your little buddy wearing a Santa hat or you barely dressed as an inappropriately sexy elf. If you’re not sure what I mean about that, this rule probably doesn’t pertain to you, so you should be fine.
  2. There are NO posting requirements for this challenge. Traditional Blogmas challenges are for you to post once a day for the full 25 days leading up to Christmas (or 12 days if you’re doing the abbreviated “12 Days of Christmas” version). I’m not holding true to those rules here, though. You can post once a day if you want to talk about Christmas every day, or you can post once a week, or even once throughout the entire duration. The choice is yours. Read about my unique take on the Blogmas challenge here!
  3. There are no set rules for checking others’ links, commenting, or anything like that. However, just remember that if you decide to drop your link and run away, you may end up burning some bridges in the process. At the very least, make an effort to check out a few other posts each day, and spread the love by sharing, commenting, and subscribing if you like their content.
  4. Grab the link party image and add it to your blog. Be sure to link back to this page. The image isn’t a requirement, but it will let other bloggers and your readers know that you are participating in Blogmas.

As some of you may already know, I had some issues with my web host and page at the end of NaBloPoMo, and as a result the link up was down for a few days. As frustrating as this was, it wasn’t the end of the world because many of us were tweeting and sharing our posts using #NaBloPoMo2017. This time around, I let’s take advantage of those extra characters and use #Blogmas and #NoNBlogmas so we can continue to share and support each other throughout the month. You can also tag me @ablissfullemon and I will retweet your posts.
