It’s early, but this morning as has already been rather successful. I decided last night that I wanted to take a few days to go back to ES6 so I could get a much better understanding of everything moving forward. I have the basic arrow functions, let and const variable keywords, and some of the more basic principles down, but I really need to focus on some of the other features and concepts.
For example, today I learned a lot more about the Map and Set objects. I know that they will not specifically aid with my learning React, but my intention was never to learn ‘just enough to get by’ but rather to master at least some of the major concepts and be able to discuss these things in conversation (or an interview) if so desired.
I’m calling it early today, not because I wasn’t enjoying myself, but because I am heading down to Cincinnati in a few hours to spend the afternoon/evening with two of my favorite people — Andrew’s dad and step-momster!
P.S. Don’t be alarmed by the “step-momster” title. It’s said with nothing but love! She is the furthest thing from a monster. 😂
