100 Days of Code: Day 64

Home / Technology / Web Development / 100 Days of Code: Day 64
I've started working with React, a JavaScript library that combines HTML with JavaScript functionality. I also spent a bit of time working on a CodeSignal challenge and wrote another post describing the solutions I came up with.

If you get alerts for my blog or follow me on Twitter, you probably already know that this is technically the second post for today. I had originally planned on starting my post this morning and publishing this afternoon after I added the rest of my Days of Code shenanigans to it.

However, once I realized how long the original post was getting and how it had kind of taken on a life of its own, I decided it was probably best to make two separate posts today. For that reason, this one is going to be shorter. A lot shorter.

Didn’t get a chance to read my other post? Go check it out![/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1531420114445{padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 10px !important;background-color: #f8f0fe !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1531419916283{background-image: url(https://www.blissfullemon.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Million-Ways-To-Solve-A-Code-Puzzle.png?id=5831) !important;}”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_cta h2=”” shape=”square” color=”white” add_button=”bottom” btn_title=”Read More” btn_shape=”square” btn_color=”black” btn_size=”sm” btn_align=”center” btn_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.blissfullemon.com%2Fmillion-ways-to-solve-code-puzzle%2F|title:1%20Million%20Ways%20to%20Solve%20a%20Code%20Puzzle|target:%20_blank|” css=”.vc_custom_1531420027126{background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.5) !important;*background-color: rgb(255,255,255) !important;}”]

1 Million Ways to Solve a Code Puzzle

I am exploring the concepts of refactoring and creating multiple solutions for a single challenge.

I got started on the React section of Free Code Camp.

I’ve heard of React before and even watched a YouTube video this morning of someone who was interviewing for a React web developer position, but never actually looked into it.

I’m pleasantly surprised by how simple everything is so far. I think I still need to get a little bit of a better grasp on classes and constructors in JavaScript, but aside from that, it makes perfect sense. I’m 20% through, so this one may end up taking a few days. We’ll see.

For now, I need to go get started on the Color Inspiration posts for next week. I’m still loving my Color Helper application, by the way. 😃[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
