100 Days of Code: Day 39

Today was a bit of a bust, but I learned a bit and did a much better job of taking notes so I can review the material later on.

Uh oh.

It’s not as bad as it sounds.

It turns out I just forgot to plug it back in after temporarily unplugging it to vacuum. Thankfully, I type all my notes in Evernote, so I didn’t have to worry about losing any of my work. I’d been going through the ES6 challenges, doing additional research as needed, and keeping notes up to that point (for a few hours at least) so I am extremely thankful that it didn’t all go kaboom.

So, on a positive note, my computer is back up and running as smoothly as can be expected for a computer that hates me (seriously, it does).

However…

I decided to take a lunch break since my computer was off and there was no sense in booting it back up just to have to put it back to sleep moments later. Lunch break turned into an afternoon shopping excursion (more so for Andrew than myself, although I did spend too much money at Bath & Body Works, feeding my lotion hoarding addiction).

Now I am tired. I made it through a few more challenges before my brain just decided it had enough. So it looks like I’m not going to finish quite as much today as I had originally planned. I definitely met the challenge requirements, but I just would have preferred to do a bit more.

Oh well. I’ve said it before, so I’ll say it again, I need to remember that it’s perfectly okay to make time for myself and life outside of coding. It will still be here waiting for me tomorrow when I come back with more energy and a fresh mind.

Take care of yourself, folks. No one else is going to do it for you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
